The following series was taken with a Linhoff Technika 4x5 View Camera. These cameras were common to photojournalists in the 40's and 50's, and they are still highly regarded, but their size and weight precludes much use today. It is hard to imagine carrying one around as a journalist and trying to get the candid shots required by that profession. It takes me a great deal of time to set up just one shot. Each negative must be hand loaded one at a time and all adjustments are strictly manual. I find it to be a great excercise in the art and the results are peerless. For extra large prints there is no substitute for a really big negative.
